The top most priority and policy of the Maldives government will always remain in sustaining the independence and sovereignty of the island nation, says the country's President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The Maldives head of state made the statement while inaugurating the 'Commanders Conference 2020' by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).
In his statement, President Solih claimed the Maldives will continue to champion as a regional pro-peace advocate, while ensuring the sovereignty and independence of the country remains intact.
President Solih, drawing focus on the importance of facing international pressures and challenges noted the current administration will be giving acute consideration on the development and training of the military personnel and armory of Maldives.
The state aims to procure more armory for the island nation's army in a bid to maximize national security standards.
Moreover, President Solih requested the participants of the symposium to train their focus and commitment towards rationals and decisions which would further solidify the country's national security.
