A step-father who allegedly had sexually abused two of his step-daughters, minors, have been arrested by authorities.
Maldives Police Service claims the 55 year old step-father was arrested on Tuesday afternoon at 12:45hrs under a court order.
Moreover, it has been reported the case was lodged at the Maldives law enforcement authority on Saturday, 01 February 2020.
Meanwhile local law enforcement have been investigating the case for further details.
On Tuesday, 04 February 2020, it was reported that another sexual abuse case aimed at minor where the victim was abused by his mother, have been brought to Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services' attention.
Furthermore a separate case involving a victim with special needs, abused, hwas reported to Maldives Police.
On Monday, 03 February 2020, a 35 year old local was arrested on allegations of sexually abusing a 5 year old child.
