A holidaymaker staying at Eriadhoo Island Resort, Kaafu Atoll, was found dead on 09 January 2020, Thursday.
Reports confirm the demised has been identified as a 60 year old German traveler.
Maldives Police Service confirm they received the report of a possible dead tourist in the holiday resort around 14:22hrs.
Following the information, a team of local police visited the tourist resort and brought the body to Maldives Capital - Male' City - and was transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
Maldives Police confirm they have commenced investigation to identify the cause of death and other matters related to the case.
