Bank of Maldives (BML) in a bid to expand their nationwide presence to better deliver for the customer base has opened a new branch at Noonu atoll Velidhoo.

With this new branch, the atoll will boast three of the bank's branches with three Self-Service Banking ATMs while registered cash agents are present in all the inhabited islands of the atoll.

The bank's CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer, in a press statement said that it was a "delight for us to support the people and businesses of Velidhoo with the opening of this new branch."

BML aims to support the community of Velidhoo with its existing Self-Service Banking Center at the branch to support local individuals and businesses in banking procedures on a 24/7 basis.

"This is an integral part of our ongoing investment program to support local communities by providing banking services throughout the country," Sawyer added.

With the addition of Velidhoo's branch to the bank's chain, BML now boasts 38 branches across all 20 atolls.

Additionally, BML's banking network includes 50 Self-Service Banking Centers, 115 ATMs and 277 agents with a full suite of Digital Banking services.
